What is your experience with photography?

I started my photography business when I was a sophomore in high school (2010) by taking senior photos for my friends. If you want a good laugh, ask me if you can see the results from some of my first photo shoots. Let's just say I've come a long way. After high school, I went to Indiana Wesleyan University and received a Bachelor's degree in Photography and Graphic Design. I fell in love with weddings after shooting one for the first time in 2014 and they have been my focus ever since.

Will you travel?

YES! I love shooting weddings in new cities, states and hopefully eventually, countries! Up to an hour of travel each way (two hours total) from Winona Lake, IN is included in my wedding package before travel rates apply.

Do you use a second shooter for weddings?

Always! Unless requested otherwise.

Should we do a first look?

This is completely up to you! I typically recommend doing one for a couple reasons. A first look allows you to spend the majority of the day together instead of just part of it. It is also more than likely the only time you will have to be alone during the day. Additionally, we will have more time to take photos without feeling rushed to get to your reception. Though my recommendation is to do a first look, I understand why some couples prefer to wait until the ceremony to see each other. If this is your preference, make sure you allow for enough time and light after the ceremony for family, full bridal party and couple portraits.

How many wedding photos do we get back?

This depends on how many hours I'm with you and how much time is allowed for photos. Typically, couples receive between 700 and 1,000 edited images.

What should I wear for my engagement session?

This is probably the question I get the most. I always suggest wearing something that's unique, comfortable and most importantly, fits your personality. You will want to pick outfits that coordinate but aren't too matchy matchy. Try to stay away from logos and patterns that are distracting. If you can't find anything in your closet you like, head to a local boutique and I'm sure they would LOVE to help style you and they always do a wonderful job.
